Cut postcards into interesting shapes and glue them onto cardstock to give them new life. Use these cards to show off a summer vacation spot in holiday cards or make these cards for more space in notes to home while still on vacation.
Photograph or Postcard Greeting Card
On the back of a postcard or photograph, measure it into six equal sections. Use a paper trimmer to cut the strips. Fold a piece of cardstock in half or use prepared blank greeting cards. With all-purpose white glue or a glue stick, stick the strips to the front of the card, leaving a small space between each strip.
As an alternative, cut apart two postcards or photographs in a similar way and then alternate strips from the two cards on the front of the greeting card. Combine the odd strips of one picture with the even strips of the other picture. This creates two cards. Select images with complementary colors or interesting images – such as a city and a country scene or the outside and inside of a historic house.
